The II Level Specializing Master in E-business and ICT for Management is a post graduate academic program (taken after a Master of Science program) that provides high quality training. It provides students with professional knowledge and skills.
The II Level Specializing Master in E-business and ICT for Management organised by the Politecnico di Torino is a high level educational opportunity conceived for newly graduated students and professional figures who wish to obtain business objectives using information and communication technologies (ICT) as a strategic lever.
The Specializing Master is structured according to the new university regulations that allow a university qualification, coherent with the university credit system (ECTS) in force in all European Union countries, to be obtained.
Obiettivi
The educational course, coherent with the tradition of excellency of the Politecnico di Torino, has the objective of preparing professional figures who are able to set up, manage and evaluate e-government, and e-business projects, from both the technological and economic-managerial points of view. The experience gained and the results obtained are proved by the rapidity and quality of the post-master placements and by the evaluations that appear in specialisation publications.
Destinatari
In order to be admitted into the second level Specializing Master program, applicants must possess a 5-year (10 semesters) university degree.
The II Level Specializing Master in e-Business and ICT for Management is addressed to graduate students in:
- Technical-scientific disciplines (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Information Sciences, etc.)
- Economic and legal disciplines (Economy, Communication Sciences, Political Sciences, etc.)
- Graduates from other fields with working experience in the themes dealt with in the Master course.
Participants must have knowledge of English.
Candidates with degrees, or equivalent, in other subjects and final year students graduating before 31 August, can be admitted to the Specializing Master after an evaluation of their applications. Working experience in the field will be considered, but is not a requirement for admission to the course.
The Specializing Master is also open to those already working. Professional figures and executives operating in the world of Information Technology can take part in individual Specializing Master sessions to study some themes in depth that are useful for their personal education.
Specializing master students are under the obligation to attend the specializing master program throughout the established one-year period and to acquire the related credits. A specializing master student cannot be enrolled in any other university program.
Contenuti
As explained in the section on education courses, there are two types of courses, economic and technological, and the relative credits are attributed to each of these course. A credit corresponds to 10 hours of lessons in the classroom and to 15 of guided practical lessons, to which about another 15 hours of study is added for the comprehension and preparation of the examination.

Internship and Project work.

Durata The Specializing Master will begin in September: the lessons will end in May. The internship will start immediately after and these will end in September , with the presentation of a final work project. Stage Internship is a training period offered by major companies operating in the Specializing Master field. During the internship the student is officially allocated within a company, with full insurance coverage during working hours. It is compulsory and its duration is about 3 months (480 hours). During this period student will be supported by the Specializing Master coordinator and supervised by his tutors (at Politecnico di Torino and in the company); at the end they will acquire 20 educational credits (ECTS) doing a pilot project. Costo The tuition fee is 8.000 Euro, but for this II Level Specializing Master course there is also the opportunity of obtaining a scholarship. There is also the possibiliy to be enrolled only to some courses of the II Level Specializing Master and this possibility is generally addressed to people that wants to specifically deepen only some topics. The Master Coordinator will take into consideration the request depending on the course admission requirements, availability in the classroom etc. Borse di studio e finanziamenti Politecnico di Torino, thanks to the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo, offers international students the possibility to receive a scholarship in addition to the coverage of tuition fees (8,000 Euro). The gross amount of the scholarship is 6,000 Euro*. This amount could not be sufficient for the living costs in Italy, students will need their own pocket money. Payment of the scholarship occurs periodically (12 instalments). The first instalment is dependent upon the possession of the relevant documentation (residence permit, Italian fiscal code, and bank account in the name of the scholarship recipient), all obtainable upon arrival in Italy; for this reason, the first instalment is not paid at the moment of arrival at the Politecnico di Torino (September 2012), but at the end of October. Payment of the scholarship and the participation to the II level specializing master course will be suspended if the academic performance of the recipient does not meet a satisfactory level. Scholarship winners will be selected among the students who have successfully completed and submitted the online application form within May 17th 2012 (h 11:59 a.m., Italian time). All candidatures correctly received by the deadline will be taken into consideration for the available scholarships, it is not necessary to fill in any other proper document. * around 450 Euro net per month.
