In order to satisfy a larger demand for internationalization, Politecnico di Torino, eni exploration & production and eni corporate university are promoting the development of the II level specializing master Master’s Program in “Petroleum Engineering” which will be taught in English and will be updated with the addition of a new specialization.

The program will be taught by university professors and corporate teaching staff. The purpose of the program, formulated on the basis of eni e&p’s professional needs, is to provide young graduates with a sound technical and managerial knowledge so that they can specialize in the Oil&Gas industry.
The 2nd level specializing Master’s program in Petroleum Engineering and Operations is open to 40 participants, 30 of whom with Italian citizenship.
The lectures will be held in English on Politecnico di Torino premises – starting in October and ending in July, followed by an internship at eni e&p in San Donato Milanese.
Attendance is mandatory. In a limited number of cases, absences will be allowed, up to a maximum of 20% of total classroom hours, only if justified by the Technical-Scientific Commission.
Enrolment in the “Petroleum Engineering and Operations” specializing Master’s program is incompatible with enrolment in other Master’s programs or university courses.
The specializing Master’s program requires a full time commitment from the participants.
eni e&p reserves the option of hiring students who complete the specializing Master’s program.
eni e&p has hired all the participants of the previous courses to date.

Candidates who have graduated from Italian Universities
The 2nd level specializing Master is intended for Italian and foreign citizens who have graduated from Italian Universities with an MSc degree in one of the following degree courses (“classi di laurea”):

  • Ingegneria Aerospaziale e Astronautica (25/S – LM 20)
  • Ingegneria Chimica (27/S – LM 22)
  • Ingegneria Civile (28/S – LM 23)
  • Ingegneria Energetica e Nucleare (33/S – LM 30)
  • Ingegneria Meccanica (36/S – LM 33)
  • Ingegneria Navale (37/S – LM 34)
  • Ingegneria per l’Ambiente e il Territorio (38/S – LM 35)
  • Modellistica Matematico – Fisica per l’Ingegneria (50/S – LM 44)
  • Scienza e Ingegneria dei Materiali (61/S – LM 53)
  • Scienze Geofisiche (85/S – LM 79)
  • Scienze Geologiche (86/S)
  • Scienze e Tecnologie Geologiche (LM 74)
  • an MSc obtained in a degree courses (“classi di laurea”) comprised in those as detailed in the list shown in the required admission degrees section
  • MSc minimum final result: 100/110 (or equivalent)
  • Age: no older than 27 by December 31st 2013
  • Knowledge of English (written and spoken): as described in the language knowledge section (CESOL, IELTS or TOEFL)

Candidates who have graduated from foreign Universities
The 2nd level specializing Master is intended for Italian and foreign citizens who have graduated from foreign Universities with at least a Bachelor degree + Master of Science (or equivalent or more advanced academic qualification) taken in the following areas of study with at least 5 years of university education:

  • Aerospace and Astronautical engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • Civil engineering
  • Energy and Nuclear engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Environmental engineering
  • Mining engineering
  • Naval engineering
  • Geosciences
  • Geology
  • Geophysics
  • an MSc obtained in an area of study comprised in those as detailed in the list shown in the required admission degrees section
  • an MSc degree result (or equivalent) ranking among the top 20% of graduates of the same academic year and degree course
  • Age: no older than 27 by December 31st 2013
  • Knowledge of English (written and spoken): as described in the language knowledge section (CESOL, IELTS or TOEFL)

The 2nd level specializing Master’s program lasts one academic year for a total of 80 credits.
The teaching program includes 9 months of classroom activities, with academic and corporate teaching staff, and is structured as follows:

  • basic courses: 30 weeks of classroom lectures, valid for all students
  • specializing courses: lasting 8 weeks

  • internships: practical training lasting 12 weeks in the eni e&p headquarters.

Note

Costo The course fee is 5.000,00 (five thousand/00) Euro. eni e&p, trough eni corporate university will provide the following corporate support to all participants accepted in the 2nd level specializing master program:

  • Italian citizens: a 700,00 (seven hundred/00) Euro scholarship per month, gross of Italian witholding taxes
  • Foreign citizens: to facilitate their transfer to Italy a 1.150,00 (one thousand one hundred fifty/00) Euro per month, gross of Italian witholding taxes (approx. 1.000 € net)
  • Italian citizens resident in the province of Torino will be granted the scholarship only during the internship period.
The scholarship shall be repaid in full in the case of non-acceptance of a recruitment offer from eni or in the case of abandonment of the specializing Master's program. The master program enrolment fee - 5.000 Euro - will be reimbursed, in full and net of witholding taxes, to all the partecipants hired by eni e&p as follows:
  • in full to graduates from the specializing master with an average marks above 27/30
  • at 50% to all others
This bonus will be reimbursed in two instalment, the first upon hiring and the second 6 months later, and it shall be repaid in full in the case of resignation within 24 months from hiring.
